Liselotte Watkins is an interdisciplinary artist working across a wide range of media including paper, ceramics and textiles. She is originally from Sweden and now based in Milan. Her work has a narrative quality that is born out of her training as an illustrator. She is known for her expressive linework and bold use of colour. Her career as a fashion illustrator was informed by her interest in depictions of women and the feminine. In recent textile and ceramic pieces, she has explored this interest further through both emotive and figurative forms, playing with tone and shape and collaborating with experienced craftspeople as well as working with industrial processes.
